Privacy policy
This policy explains how OXYWEBS LLP ("JIFI") collects, uses, shares and protects personal data of people who use the JIFI website and apps, in line with Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000. By using JIFI you agree to it. Shops, riders and captains get an extra notice in their own apps.
1. What we collect
- Account: your mobile number and name.
- Addresses and location: the addresses you save (with a map pin) and, only when you allow it on your device, your location, to show nearby shops, place the delivery pin and match rides. While a Rider or Captain is on the way, their live location is shown to you.
- Orders and rides: what you ordered or booked, amounts, times, delivery codes, ratings and any notes you write.
- Payments: we do not store your card or bank details; our payment partner handles them. We keep payment and refund references, the amounts, the UTR or UPI reference you type, and any payment screenshot you upload.
- Device and usage: device type, app version, IP address, notification token and security logs.
- Support: messages and call details when you contact us.
- On the website: the browser stores your login, your cart and your light or dark setting so the site works. We do not use advertising trackers.
2. Why we use it
To verify your login with a one-time code, deliver your orders and rides, take payments and process refunds, send order updates, keep accounts safe, prevent fraud, give you support, issue invoices and meet legal and tax duties (for example GST), and to fix and improve the Service. We send promotions only if you agree, and you can opt out at any time.
3. Who we share it with
- The Shop sees your first name, what you ordered and any note you add. It does not see your full delivery address.
- The Rider or Captain assigned to you sees the pickup and drop locations, your name, a way to contact you during the job, and needs the delivery code you read out.
- Service providers that help us run JIFI, under contract and only for that purpose: payments (Razorpay), SMS and OTP delivery, maps, push notifications, live order updates, and hosting and file storage.
- Authorities, when the law requires or to protect rights and safety. In a sale or restructuring of the business your data may move with it, with the same protection.
- We do not sell your personal data.
4. Payment screenshots
Screenshots you upload as proof of a UPI payment are stored privately and can be viewed only by JIFI administrators. They are deleted automatically after 90 days.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your account data while your account is active. Order, payment and invoice records are kept for as long as tax and accounting laws require. Security and technical logs are kept for a short time. After that, data is deleted or made anonymous.
6. Your rights and choices
You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it for a purpose you agreed to, and you can withdraw a consent you gave. Some records, such as tax invoices, must be kept by law, so we may not be able to delete those. To use these rights, contact us through the contact page from the mobile number on your account. We will reply within 30 days. You can also turn off location in your device settings at any time; some features then work with less accuracy.
7. Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections, access is limited to the people who need it, and sensitive files such as payment proofs are kept private. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we will tell you as the law requires.
8. Children
JIFI is for people aged 18 and over, or for use with a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you think a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. The version on this page is the one that applies, and we will tell you in the app or on the site about important changes.
10. Contact and complaints
Questions or complaints about your data: use our contact page. The Grievance Officer can be reached through the same page.
